Jesus Christ Superstar

Jesus of Nazareth rides into Jerusalem on a wave of adulation that his followers can no longer control. Judas Iscariot, the disciple who once believed most fiercely, fears the crowds are hailing a celebrity rather than a teacher and that Rome will crush them all. The priests plot, Pilate is troubled by a dream and Mary Magdalene soothes a man she cannot fathom, as the story unfolds in a pageant of flying platforms, silver discs and giant props borne through the crowd.
