Evita

On a bare stage of steps, smoke and light, Eva Duarte fights her way out of a small provincial town and into the noise of Buenos Aires. Singer, radio voice, film face, she climbs every rung the city offers until she is standing beside the rising colonel Juan Perón, and a country that never noticed her starts chanting her name. Che, a sardonic voice from the crowd, watches the legend being built and keeps asking what it hides.
