The Crown Jewels

Simon Nye's The Crown Jewels is a comic play based on the true story of Colonel Thomas Blood's audacious 1671 attempt to steal the Crown Jewels from the Tower of London. The piece turns a notorious episode of British history into a fast-moving satire, following Blood and his eccentric companions as they tangle with royal guards, courtly caution and their own chaos.
