The Story

When a white teacher is killed in a Black neighbourhood, Yvonne, an ambitious young reporter new to a big-city American newspaper, sees a story that could make her name. Placed in a section devoted to positive stories about the Black community under Pat, her battle-scarred, activist boss, she chases the murder anyway, as rival reporters race for the headline and each decides what they will risk for their version of the truth.
