The Misanthrope

Alice is a celebrated novelist who has no patience for the fashionable mantras of kindness and respect, and says so. The more bluntly she speaks her mind, and the more she lends her voice to causes others are afraid to touch, the more her colleagues avoid her and the more her relationship with the actor Stefan strains. As the criticism mounts, she begins to learn the price she must pay, as an artist and as a woman, for refusing to keep quiet.
