Fiddler on the Roof

Fiddler on the Roof is the 1964 Broadway musical by Jerry Bock and Sheldon Harnick, set in the Jewish village of Anatevka in early 20th-century Imperial Russia. At its centre is Tevye, a poor milkman trying to uphold long-held traditions as his five daughters begin to test the boundaries of custom and choose love, independence, and modernity for themselves.
