Fiddler on the Roof

In a village of weathered timber and gabled shacks, the milkman Tevye argues with God, haggles with his neighbours and tries to marry off five daughters. Golde wants sensible matches and Yente the matchmaker has candidates, but the girls, one after another, have ideas of their own, and the Tsar's men are growing less friendly.
