Fiddler on the Roof

Under wooden roofs and beams that turn to show the village street, then Tevye's kitchen, the milkman bargains with his customers and with God. At home his wife Golde keeps the household going and Yente brings suitors, but the three eldest daughters want husbands of their own choosing, and word of the Tsar's displeasure is drifting in from beyond the village.
