Jamie came to Manhattan to write novels. Instead he checks facts at a glossy magazine by day and loses himself in the city's clubs by night, chasing the next line of cocaine with his reckless friend Tad. His model wife, Amanda, has walked out, his job is slipping away, his brother keeps calling, and over one long week in 1980s New York a grief he has refused to face finally catches up with him.
