Sweet Smell of Success

Set in 1952 New York, this dark, jazz-inflected musical follows powerful gossip columnist J.J. Hunsecker and press agent Sidney Falco, whose hunger for status and influence draws them into a calculated scheme. As Hunsecker tries to control the private life of his sister, Sidney becomes caught up in efforts to undermine her romance with a young jazz musician.
