The Apple Tree is a whimsical three-part musical by Jerry Bock and Sheldon Harnick, with a book by Jerome Coopersmith, built from three self-contained stories linked by the idea that wishes can have unexpected consequences. Each section takes a different literary source and tone, moving from satire to romance and fable.
