Hamlet

In a stripped-back Elsinore of steel gantries and bleacher seats, where courtiers wear hoodies, T-shirts and drainpipe jeans, Claudius has taken his brother's throne and married his widow Gertrude. Hamlet, a prince who has lost his father and his footing, learns from the ghost that the old king was murdered and sets out to prove it, playing the fool, working off his fury on an exercise bike and handing a troupe of actors a play to trap the king.
