A Midsummer Night's Dream

In a repressive, grey-clad Athens, Hermia is ordered to marry Demetrius but loves Lysander, so the pair flee to the forest, followed by Demetrius and by Helena, who adores him. The woods are riotous: a band of workmen rehearse a play for the Duke's wedding, while the fairy queen Titania, quarrelling with Oberon, sends Puck out with a love potion that leaves the lovers chasing the wrong partners and Oberon himself besotted with a weaver wearing an ass's head.
