The Seagull

The Seagull is Anton Chekhov’s seminal play about a gathering of artists, writers and family at a Russian country estate, where private hopes and disappointments unfold in close quarters. At its centre are Konstantin, an aspiring playwright; his mother Arkadina, a celebrated actress; her lover Trigorin, a successful writer; and Nina, a young woman drawn to the stage.
