A Midsummer Night's Dream

A company of amateur players throws a party and pulls its audience into the tale, even calling spectators up to audition. In their Athens, Hermia is ordered to marry Demetrius but loves Lysander, so the pair escape to the forest, pursued by Demetrius and the lovesick Helena, while a band of hopeful workmen rehearse a play for the Duke's wedding and a quarrel between the fairy rulers lets Puck loose with a love potion.
