Troyanas

Troy has fallen. Among the bodies and the wreckage of the city, its surviving women, the former queen Hecuba, her daughters Cassandra and Polyxena, her son's widow Andromache, and Helen, whose flight began the war, wait to learn which Greek commander each will be handed to as a slave. The herald Talthybius brings the victors' decisions, and one by one the women answer with grief, fury and defiance.
