Shen Yun

An evening of around twenty short pieces: classical Chinese dance, ethnic and folk dances from across China, and brief story dances drawn from legends, dynasties and classic novels, with solo singers between them. A live orchestra combines Western instruments with traditional Chinese ones such as the erhu and pipa, while animated digital backdrops let performers appear to step in and out of the projected scenery.
