Ragtime

Based on E.L. Doctorow's 1975 novel, Ragtime follows three intersecting families in early 20th-century America: a wealthy white household in New Rochelle, a Jewish immigrant father and daughter, and an African American pianist and his partner and child. Their stories unfold against a country in rapid change, shaped by immigration, labour unrest, racism, and the pull of modernity.
