Book William Shakespeare, Emily Burns
On the front line of a modern war, amid burnt-out cars and rubble, the soldier Macbeth hears three witches foretell his rise to the throne. Spurred on by his wife, he murders the king who has just rewarded him and takes the crown, then kills again to keep it, while the din of battle closes in around them both.
