Macbeth

In a ruined country after a bloody civil war, where anarchy has replaced order, three witches greet the victorious soldier Macbeth with a prophecy that he will be king. With Lady Macbeth steeling his nerve, he kills Duncan in his sleep and seizes power, only to find that one murder demands another, as rebels gather and guilt takes hold.
