Fallen Angels

In an elegant Art Deco flat in London, with a baby grand in the corner, Julia Sterroll and Jane Banbury see their husbands off to the golf course. Then a postcard arrives: Maurice Duclos, the charming Frenchman each of them loved before she married, is in town. The two best friends settle in to wait for him over dinner and a great deal of champagne, while Saunders, the new maid, seems to know rather more about everything than they do.
