Hay Fever

At the Blisses' country house the gowns are beaded, the evening dress is immaculate and nobody has thought to tell anyone else who is coming for the weekend. Judith Bliss, a celebrated actress who has retired from the stage and already misses the applause, has invited a young admirer, and her novelist husband David, son Simon and daughter Sorel have each invited a guest of their own. The four visitors are soon dragged into parlour games, sudden declarations of love and scenes of high drama that their hosts treat as sport.
