Cry-Baby

Set in 1954 Baltimore, Cry-Baby follows Allison Vernon-Williams, a finishing-school girl from a wealthy family, and Wade "Cry-Baby" Walker, the leader of a gang of outcast teenagers known as the Drapes. When the pair meet at an Anti-Polio Picnic, they discover that both are orphans, and a romance begins to develop across the fault-line between the respectable Squares and the rebellious Drapes.
