Les Choristes

Just after the Second World War, Clément Mathieu, a failed musician, arrives at Fond de l'Étang, a grim boarding school for troubled boys, to work as a supervisor. The headmaster, Rachin, rules by punishment and the pupils answer with pranks. Mathieu tries humour and kindness instead, and turns the unruly boys into a choir, discovering that the most defiant of them, Pierre Morhange, has an extraordinary voice.
