Cable Street

In October 1936, three young neighbours are trying to make lives for themselves in London’s East End. Sammy, a Polish Jew who hopes to box, Mairead, an Irish Catholic with ambitions to write, and Ron, a newcomer from Lancashire, face different pressures as Oswald Mosley’s British Union of Fascists prepare to march through their neighbourhood.
