Playboy of the West Indies

Mustapha Matura's Playboy of the West Indies reworks J. M. Synge's The Playboy of the Western World for a Trinidadian village setting. When a stranger named Ken arrives and boasts that he has killed his father, the story quickly becomes the subject of gossip, fascination and rivalry, especially among the local women, who are drawn to the glamour of his tale.
