Sweet Charity

Sweet Charity is Cy Coleman and Dorothy Fields' Broadway musical, with a book by Neil Simon, first staged in 1966 and directed and choreographed by Bob Fosse. Adapted from Federico Fellini's 1957 film Nights of Cabiria, it centres on Charity Hope Valentine, a dance hall hostess in Times Square who keeps reaching for romance, security and a life beyond her present circumstances.
