The Imaginary Invalid

Argan is convinced he is dying of everything, and he spends a fortune on doctors, potions and enemas to prove it. To cut his medical bills he plans to marry his daughter Angelique to a doctor's dim son, though she loves Cleante, while his second wife Beline waits patiently for his money. Only the quick-witted maid Toinette, and Argan's level-headed brother Beralde, seem able to see what is really going on, and they set out to bring him to his senses.
