An Oak Tree

A stage hypnotist, working a tired act in a pub, invites volunteers up to join him. One of them is a father whose daughter was killed months earlier in a road accident, and the man driving the car was the hypnotist himself. The two meet face to face for the first time since, in a show that slips between comic routine and raw grief, as the father explains how he has come to believe his daughter has become a tree.
