Les Liaisons Dangereuses

Christopher Hampton's adaptation of Pierre Choderlos de Laclos' novel is set in the salons and bedrooms of pre-revolutionary France, where aristocratic manners conceal ruthless appetite. At its centre are the Marquise de Merteuil and the Vicomte de Valmont, former lovers who turn seduction into strategy and flirtation into a weapon.
