Unexpected Twist

Unexpected Twist is a contemporary musical that reimagines Charles Dickens' Oliver Twist through the story of Shona, a teenager navigating poverty, grief, and a disruptive change at home and school. As her class studies Dickens' novel, the production draws clear parallels between Shona's experience and Oliver's, linking a Victorian classic to the pressures faced by young people today.
