Elisabeth

Elisabeth is a German-language musical by Sylvester Levay and Michael Kunze that dramatises the life of Empress Elisabeth of Austria, or Sisi. The story is framed through the assassin Luigi Lucheni, whose account traces Elisabeth's journey through the constraints of the Habsburg court and her growing determination to claim freedom and identity for herself.
