Jewish Plot

Torrey Townsend's world-premiere play imagines the recovery and reconstruction of a long-lost Victorian melodrama by the fictional provocateur I.W. Bruntmole. Framed around the scandal that greeted its first London performance in 1889, the piece uses that recovered text to probe how antisemitism, performance, and identity collide onstage.
