Whistle Down the Wind

Whistle Down the Wind is Andrew Lloyd Webber and Jim Steinman's musical adaptation of the 1961 novel and 1961 film. Set in rural Louisiana in the 1950s, it follows Swallow, a young girl who finds a stranger hiding in her family’s barn and, in her innocence, believes he is Jesus Christ. She and the other children take it upon themselves to protect him, while the adults around them grow increasingly suspicious.
