Cake: The Marie Antoinette Playlist is a high-energy musical that reimagines the life and reputation of Marie Antoinette in 18th-century France through a bold, multi-genre pop score. It centres on the Affair of the Diamond Necklace, following Jeanne de Valois-Saint-Remy and the scandal that implicated the queen and helped inflame public opinion against the monarchy.
