Return to the Forbidden Planet

Bob Carlton’s *Return to the Forbidden Planet* is a comic jukebox musical that blends Shakespeare’s *The Tempest* with the 1956 sci-fi film *Forbidden Planet*. Set in a campy space-opera world, it follows Captain Tempest and his crew after an emergency landing on the planet D’Illyria, where they encounter Doctor Prospero, his daughter Miranda and the eerie forces shaping the planet.
