The Real Thing

Henry, a celebrated London playwright, is married to Charlotte, an actress starring in his latest play, but he has fallen for Annie, an actress married to their friend Max. Annie campaigns for Brodie, a young soldier jailed for burning a wreath at the Cenotaph. Choosing each other brings its own troubles: Henry finds he cannot write honestly about love, and Annie's causes, a younger co-star and Brodie's own clumsy script all test whether what they share is the real thing.
