The Scarlet Pimpernel

Set against the turmoil of the French Revolution, The Scarlet Pimpernel follows Sir Percy Blakeney, an apparently frivolous British aristocrat who conceals a far more daring identity. By night, he becomes the elusive Scarlet Pimpernel, risking everything to rescue French nobles from the guillotine while keeping his true role hidden from society.
