On the Twentieth Century

On the Twentieth Century is a comic musical set aboard a luxury train hurtling from Chicago to New York, where bankrupt Broadway producer Oscar Jaffee tries to turn a transcontinental journey into a last-ditch comeback. His aim is to persuade glamorous film star Lily Garland to sign on for his next play, while also reopening the old romantic spark between them.
