Private Lives

Private Lives is a comedy of manners in three acts by Noël Coward, written while he was recovering from influenza in Shanghai. Elyot and Amanda, once married and now divorced, discover that they are honeymooning with their new spouses, Sibyl and Victor, in adjacent rooms of the same hotel in Deauville. Their old passion quickly revives, and they abandon their new partners for Amanda's flat in Paris, where the quarrels that ended their marriage soon break out again. The play includes Coward's song 'Someday I'll Find You'.
