Kismet

Kismet is a musical set in ancient Baghdad, inspired by Edward Knoblock's 1911 play of the same name. It follows Hajj, a quick-witted poet whose fortunes shift as he moves through a series of precarious encounters, while his daughter Marsinah falls in love with the young Caliph.
