De Jaren

One woman's life unfolds against a world changing at speed. She grows up among the rubble of the Second World War in France, breaks free of her modest shopkeeping background and becomes a writer with a sharp political and social conscience. Through photographs, songs and news of the day, she recalls love, sex, motherhood, class and the chances life offered her across the post-war decades.
