Haywire

Haywire is a comedic farce by Eric Chappell centred on Alec Firth, a bookshop manager whose plan to begin an affair with his assistant, Liz, and slip away on a secret trip to Spain quickly unravels. The situation is complicated by the sudden arrival of his eccentric mother, his injured son and his pregnant, unmarried daughter, all of which make it harder for Alec to keep his private life hidden.
