Elegies for Angels, Punks and Raging Queens is a song cycle by Janet Hood and Bill Russell, inspired by the NAMES Project AIDS Memorial Quilt and Edgar Lee Masters’ Spoon River Anthology. Through more than 30 monologues and a series of songs, it gives voice to people who have died from AIDS, alongside the grief, anger, love and memory carried by friends and family.
