Here We Are

Stephen Sondheim’s final musical, with a book by David Ives, draws inspiration from Luis Buñuel’s satirical films The Discreet Charm of the Bourgeoisie and The Exterminating Angel. It follows a well-heeled group of friends whose attempt to share a meal together is repeatedly complicated by strange interruptions, social niceties, and mounting unease.
