Liberation

Set in Ohio in 1970, Liberation follows six women who meet in a basement gymnasium at their local community centre and begin, through often funny and increasingly urgent conversation, to question the shape of their lives and the world around them. Bess Wohl’s play turns that gathering into a portrait of women testing the limits of friendship, politics, and self-determination.
