Hadestown

Hadestown is a Tony Award-winning musical that reimagines the ancient Greek myths of Orpheus and Eurydice, together with Hades and Persephone, in a post-apocalyptic world inspired by the New Orleans French Quarter. Set to Anaïs Mitchell’s haunting blend of folk, jazz and blues, it follows Orpheus, a young poet and musician, and Eurydice, his lover, as their lives are drawn into the orbit of the underworld.
