Snow is falling on an old farmhouse in upstate New York, where a liberal couple have invited their friends to dinner. The groceries never arrive, the roads close, and the evening becomes one long, heated argument about the new President: why people voted for him, how lies come to be accepted as fact, and what any of them could have done. Woven through it is the story of Mark, born in Kenya and adopted by a conservative Christian farming couple upstate, alongside fevered visions of Donald Trump himself, among them a private dinner with his FBI director.
