My Beautiful Laundrette

Set in Thatcher-era London, My Beautiful Laundrette follows Omar, a young British Pakistani man trying to find his place in a city shaped by class divisions, racism and economic change. When he takes on the running of a dilapidated laundrette, he enters an unexpected partnership with Johnny, a former street punk and old acquaintance, and the two begin to build both a business and a relationship.
