The Lady from the Sea

Simon Stone’s contemporary adaptation of Henrik Ibsen’s The Lady from the Sea centres on Ellida, who lives in the seeming security of a remote country house with her husband, Dr Wangel. When a figure from her past returns, the carefully arranged calm of her life begins to fracture, forcing her to confront the gap between domestic comfort and a more restless, elemental desire for freedom.
